Digital equity means making sure everyone has fair access to technology—like internet, devices, and digital skills—so they can fully participate in school, work, healthcare, and daily life. It ensures no one is left behind because of income, age, ability, or location.

Technology Lending Library

Did you know Easterseals loans technology? You can receive an iPad, laptop, JayPad if you belong to one of these Regional Centers:

Digital Equity Resource Finder

The Digital Equity Resource Finder, developed by the California Department of Technology, is an interactive tool that maps out digital inclusion services across the state. It includes information on:

  • Free or low-cost internet programs
  • Device access and lending services
  • Digital literacy training
  • Community tech hubs and more

The tool is regularly updated to allow you to filter resources by county, service type, and organization, making it easy to connect with local and statewide digital equity partners.

What is California Connect?

California Connect, also called the Deaf and Disabled Telecommunications Program (DDTP), is a public purpose program that provides communications equipment and services to persons with disabilities. This includes:

  • Vision Equipment and Services
  • Speech Equipment and Services
  • Hearing Support
  • Memory Support
  • Mobility Support
  • Relay Services

L.A. Found

L.A. Found centers on Project Lifesaver, a voluntary program offering trackable bracelets to support individuals who may experience challenges with wandering or becoming lost. The bracelet sends a radio signal every few seconds, helping responders locate someone quickly if needed. The website also offers features such as:
